G.M.L.P.S Enhances Language Fluency of Students with Oréll DLL

Oréll language lab has been implemented at G.M.L.P.S-Airani, one of the top government lower primary schools located in Kalppakancheri Grama panchayat of Malappuram district.

Implementation of Oréll language lab was carried out as part of the Complete Education Project initiated by the honourable MLA of Tirur legislative Assembly Mr C. Mammootty in co-operation with Keltron-India's first and the largest State electronics enterprise.

The language faculty of the school seemed highly excited to use Oréll language lab in classroom for the improving the communication skill of G.M.L.P.S learners. The high quality English study material provided along with this interactive multimedia tool helps the teachers to assign works if she hasn’t prepared for taking a new lesson. The all-inclusive platform of Oréll language lab acts as a complete solution for self-learning, as well as a teaching support to the instructors. Through the wide variety of activities included in the lab and materials, the four basic communication skills- listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are aimed to develop in a very organised and competent manner.

The students can comprehend British and American accent of words using this software and can practice the necessary one according to their curriculum. Students will get good exposure to English phonetics, new vocabulary, expressions and other linguistic usages relevant in real-life situations. Through this language lab, teacher can give personal care and attention to students who stand backward in language skills.

The two-way interaction feature in the language lab enables the teacher to communicate with timid students privately and to help them in overcoming their inhibitions to speak out and communicate properly.
